This online blog is an attempt to extend and build on what we did in our sessions in Cleveland, to frame the experience and try to harness the resources of Mellon Forum members to make connections between what we did in person and what we want to try to do back home.

The blog is an opportunity to:

1. Continue discussions that may have started in Cleveland and see if we can go deeper. This is an opportunity for a different kind of conversation than what we had in person. Not better, just different, the way Open Space exchanges are different from the ones we have in workshop programs.
2. Debate take away messages and make connections. The blog question is intended as a starting point, a way to maybe help us decide what we want to do with whatever we take away from our Forum meeting.
3. Create an online discussion that can be archived and used as a resource to help bring others in our orchestra community into some of the issues we're working on in the forum.
